Dr. Burdette graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree and his medical degree.

He served a medicine internship at Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona and as a general medical officer in the Indian Health Service division of the US Public Health Service in Phoenix.

Dr. Burdette completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and a Corneal Fellowship at the University of Florida. He joined Greenwood Eye Clinic, P.A. in 1979. Dr. Burdette enjoys golf. He and his wife, Deborah, have four children and one granddaughter. They are active members in the Episcopal Church.
